Referrals

You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. If you think you may benefit from seeing a psychologist you can make an appointment without having discussed it previously with your doctor, or health care provider. However, you will need to pay the full amount charged by the psychologist. Alternatively, you may be eligible for one of the Medicare initiatives below, or have access to psychology services through your private health fund.
